The Weight Activated Brake Prosthetic Knee is a stance phase friction brake activated by weight bearing.  It is designed for transfemoral amputees with moderate functional demands.  It is also suitable for amputees with lower functional levels who want to avoid using a manual locking knee.  This prosthetic knee joint can be constructed in either titanium or stainless steel.
