Description
The Perfect Stride III prosthetic foot is suited for active amputees by optimizing multiplane and multiaxial motion and improving gait biomechanics. The mechanical form of this foot replicates human function. The anterior facing convexly curved calf shank promotes variable cadence by acting like the pre-tibial muscle group. It facilitates frontal, saggital, and transverse plane motion.
This foot stores and releases energy by replicating normal foot and ankle function. From heel strike to toe off patients benefit by experiencing increased propulsion, power, and gait velocity. The rise and fall of the body's center of mass is more natural compared to the traditional type of energy storing prosthetic foot.
The shank and coiled ankle of the Perfect Stride III compress at mid-stance. Then as the patient moves forward the ankle plantar flexes and the ankle joint moves forward and downward. This lessens the fall of the body's center of mass, preserving forward momentum and reducing socket forces on the residual limb. The Perfect Stride III then accelerates at toe off.
This prosthetic foot can only be purchased by a certified prosthetist. If you are a patient interested in this product please contact one of our Credentialed Members.
