Description
The Active Stride prosthetic foot is intended for energetic amputees that require a higher degree of stability. It is part of BioQuest's "Biostride" series of prosthetic feet. The mechanical form of this foot replicates human function and improves gait biomechanics. An anterior facing, convexly curved calf shank is light and durable. This prosthetic foot has a soft feel and big "sweet spot". The overall design optimizes vertical loading response, opposition to ground reaction forces, and propulsion power. Forward, backward, and side-to-side, patients will experience higher levels of mobility and stability.
Energy is efficiently stored and released during the gait cycle with this foot. The layers of carbon graphite provide forward propulsion substantially improving ambulatory motion, symmetry, and velocity. The solid keel makes this foot more stable than the Ultra Stride, and the split toe helps to transverse uneven terrain.
Surpassing industry standards for maximum load and cyclic testing, the Biostride Series of prosthetic feet are strong and durable. Exclusive use of carbon composite and titanium components reduces weight and optimizes kinetic energy as the body's center of mass moves forward from mid stance to push off.
This prosthetic foot can only be purchased by a certified prosthetist. If you are a patient interested in this product please contact one of our Credentialed Members.
Indications
